Norway with the Luren Singers. They had previously participated in the Luren Singers’ first Norway trip in 1969. Both Ken and Virginia have been very active in the Lutheran Church, having served on the councils of most of the churches they have belonged to since their marriage in 1946.

Ken and Virginia love to travel and have been in all 50 states except Alaska and Oregon and all but 2 of the Provinces in Canada. They have also been to Denmark, Sweden, Germany, France, England and Norway. Since Ken’s retirement in 1989 they have spent most of their winters in either Arizona or Texas. Ken likes woodworking and has made several pieces of furniture for his children and grandchildren. Both Ken and Virginia enjoy cards and golf and having their family come visit. Virginia is involved with WELCA (Women of the Evangelical Church of America) and 2 church circles. They are looking forward to their golden wedding anniversary 11 Aug 1996.

Larry Kenneth Moen was born at Decorah, IA to Kenneth and Virginia (Barth) Moen. He attended grade school in Pleasant Twp. and Junior and Senior High School in Decorah, graduating in 1968. Larry was very active in 4-H before the family moved from the farm. He showed several champion and reserve champion steers at the Winneshiek Co. Fair.

Larry attended Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids for a while before spending some time in the Marine Corps. He worked for a while as a night auditor for a motel in Des Moines and for the Dunkerton Co-op. in Dunkerton, IA.

Larry married Lynn Marie Reese 10 May 1974. Lynn was born in Waterloo, IA to Robert and

Maxine Reese. Lynn had 2 children by a previous marriage: Tasha Renee and Travis Russel. Larry became a branch manager for a Co-op. in Blanchardville, Wl. Later he returned to Dunkerton and worked for Hauptly Construction Co. where he was trained to work on grain handling and storage equipment. He eventually started his own construction company and still loves working on grain facilities.

Larry and Lynn have 4 children: Thomas Richard,  Traci Renee, Tyler Rockwell  and Tanner R. .

Larry and Lynn have lived most of their married life in the Waterloo area. Their daughter Tasha is married to Brett Jung and they have 2 children: Chelsea Lynn and Chad Richard.

Richard Duane Moen was born at Decorah, IA to Kenneth and Virginia (Barth) Moen. He attended grade school in Decorah, Junior High at Wapsie Valley, Oran, IA and graduated from Dunkerton High School in 1975. He attended the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls for one year and North Iowa Community College in Calmar one year.

Richard married Sharon Marie Brandt 7 Aug 1982 in Waterloo, IA. Sharon is the daughter of Harvey and Willowdene Brandt of Denver, IA. Richard and Sharon have one daughter Alysia Marie, born 31 Mar 1984.

Richard took Agri Business courses in Calmar and has worked in Agri Business since that time. He has been with River Valley Co-op., Watertown, Wl since the fall of 1984, He has worked in most of the departments and is
